I will have vaulted ceiling in the master with beams and T&G. I am thinking about soffiting the sides like shown here to lighten it up a little. I will do ship lap behind bed as shown here, not sure if I will paint or stain. I will have an 8' slider with a transom window above and no windows on either side of the slider.

Like the wood ceiling insert - maybe would work in master bedroom or guest bedrooms. Also like the wood accent wall in this photo
