This outdated bathroom had a large garden tub that took up to much space and a very small shower and walk in closet. Not ideal for the primary bath. We removed the tub surround and added a new free standing tub that was better proportioned for the space. The entrance to the bathroom was moved to the other side of the room which allowed for the closet to enlarge and the shower to double in size. A fresh blue pallet was used with pattern and texture in mind. Large scale 24" x 48" tile was used in the shower to give it a slab like appearance. The marble and glass pebbles add a touch of sparkle to the shower floor and accent stripe. A marble herringbone was used as the vanity backsplash for interest. Storage was the goal in this bath. We achieved it by increasing the main vanity in length and adding a pantry with pull outs. The make up vanity has a cabinet that pulls out and stores all the tools for hair care. A custom closet was added with shoe and handbag storage, a built in ironing board and plenty of hanging space. LVP was placed throughout the space to tie the closet and primary bedroom together.

Our La Cañada studio designed this lovely home, keeping with the fun, cheerful personalities of the homeowner. The entry runner from Annie Selke is the perfect introduction to the house and its playful palette, adding a welcoming appeal. In the dining room, a beautiful, iconic Schumacher wallpaper was one of our happy finishes whose vines and garden colors begged for more vibrant colors to complement it. So we added bold green color to the trims, doors, and windows, enhancing the playful appeal. In the family room, we used a soft palette with pale blue, soft grays, and warm corals, reminiscent of pastel house palettes and crisp white trim that reflects the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches of Bermuda! The formal living room looks elegant and sophisticated, with beautiful furniture in soft blue and pastel green. The curtains nicely complement the space, and the gorgeous wooden center table anchors the space beautifully. This beautiful home for a family of four got a refreshing new design, making it a true reflection of the homeowners' personalities. The living room was designed to look bright and spacious with a stunning custom white oak coffee table, stylish swivel chairs, and a comfortable pale peach sofa. An antique bejeweled snake light creates an attractive focal point encouraging fun conversations in the living room. In the kitchen, we upgraded the countertops and added a beautiful backsplash, and the dining area was painted a soothing sage green adding color and character to the space. One of the kids' bedrooms got a unique platform bed with a study and storage area below it. The second bedroom was designed with a custom day bed with stylish tassels and a beautiful bulletin board wall with a custom neon light for the young occupant to decorate at will. The guest room, with its earthy tones and textures, has a lovely "California casual" appeal, while the primary bedroom was designed like a haven for relaxation with black-out curtains, a statement chain link chandelier, and a beautiful custom bed. In the primary bath, we added a huge mirror, custom white oak cabinetry, and brass fixtures, creating a luxurious retreat! ---Project designed by Sara Barney’s Austin interior design studio BANDD DESIGN. The "modified" waterfall accent in a classic pattern in white and blue marble brings subtle attention to the shower. The client's desire for a pebbled shower floor was not ideal with the accent tile we both liked for that wall, so the tile was installed a few inches up from the floor and ceiling providing much-needed separation providing a way to give the client the floor she liked along with the accent wall she also likes. To give the space a more contemporary look, Schluter edging was used for the shower niche.

Our clients wanted a modern mountain getaway that would combine their gorgeous mountain surroundings with contemporary finishes. To highlight the stunning cathedral ceilings, we decided to take the natural stone on the fireplace from floor to ceiling. The dark wood mantle adds a break for the eye, and ties in the views of surrounding trees. Our clients wanted a complete facelift for their kitchen, and this started with removing the excess of dark wood on the ceiling, walls, and cabinets.
