Our clients wanted to add an ensuite bathroom to their charming 1950’s Cape Cod, but they were reluctant to sacrifice the only closet in their owner’s suite. The hall bathroom they’d been sharing with their kids was also in need of an update so we took this into consideration during the design phase to come up with a creative new layout that would tick all their boxes. By relocating the hall bathroom, we were able to create an ensuite bathroom with a generous shower, double vanity, and plenty of space left over for a separate walk-in closet. We paired the classic look of marble with matte black fixtures to add a sophisticated, modern edge. The natural wood tones of the vanity and teak bench bring warmth to the space. A frosted glass pocket door to the walk-through closet provides privacy, but still allows light through. We gave our clients additional storage by building drawers into the Cape Cod’s eave space.

Master Bathroom remodel in North Fork vacation house. The marble tile floor flows straight through to the shower eliminating the need for a curb. A stationary glass panel keeps the water in and eliminates the need for a door. Glass tile on the walls compliments the marble on the floor while maintaining the modern feel of the space.

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. This Evanston master bathroom makeover reflects a perfect blend of timeless charm and modern elegance. Our designer created a stylish and ambient retreat by using Spanish mosaic tiles imported for the shower niche and vanity backsplash. Crafted from various natural stones, these mosaic tiles seamlessly integrate soft shades, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space. Additionally, the use of white wall tiles brightens the area. Stunning bathroom designed with modern aesthetics and a focus on luxurious functionality. The standout feature in this space is the floating vanity, which adds a touch of contemporary elegance. A mirrored shaving cabinet is strategically placed above the vanity, providing ample storage and serving as a practical and stylish addition.

Our client’s main bathroom boasted shades of 1960 yellow through-out. From the deep rich colour of the drop-in sinks and low profile bathtub to the lighter vanity cupboards and wall accessories to pale yellow walls and even the subdued lighting through to veining in the old linoleum floor and tub wall tiles. High gloss Carrara marble 24”x48” tiles span from the tub to the ceiling and include a built-in tiled niche for tucked away storage, paired with Baril brushed nickel Sens series shower fixtures and Fleurco 10mm shower doors. The same tiles in the shower continue onto the floor where we installed Schluter Ditra In-Floor Heat with a programmable thermostat. Custom cabinetry was built to allow for the incorporation of a sit-down make-up between his and her double bowl sinks as well as a tall linen tower with cupboards and drawers to offer lots of extra storage. Quartz countertops with undermount sinks and sleek single handle faucets in a subdued brushed nickel hue complete the look. A custom mirror was made to span the full length of the vanities sitting atop the counter backsplash.

Using 48"x 10" tiles, I started with the niche as it was going to be the WOW!. Tiles were laid out so the niche was integrated. The front and back walls where tiles in hexagon marble. A soft interest on the wall without completing for visual attention.

This view of the bathroom shows the minimal look of the room, which is created by the help of the tile choice. The lighter grey floor tiles look great against the darker tiles of the bath wall. Having a wall hung drawer unit creates the sense of space along with the sit on bowl. The D shaped bathe also creates space with its curved edges and wall mounted taps. The niche in the wall is a great feature, adding space for ornaments and draws you to the large wall tiles. Having the ladder radiator by the bath is perfect for having towels nice and warm, ready for when you step out after having a long soak!

A revised window layout allowed us to create a separate toilet room and a large wet room, incorporating a 5′ x 5′ shower area with a built-in undermount air tub. The shower has every feature the homeowners wanted, including a large rain head, separate shower head and handheld for specific temperatures and multiple users. In lieu of a free-standing tub, the undermount installation created a clean built-in feel and gave the opportunity for extra features like the air bubble option and two custom niches.

This Primary Bathroom was divided into two separate spaces. The homeowner wished for a more relaxing tub experience and at the same time desired a larger shower. To accommodate these wishes, the spaces were opened, and the entire ceiling was vaulted to create a cohesive look and flood the entire bathroom with light. The entry double-doors were reduced to a single entry door that allowed more space to shift the new double vanity down and position a free-standing soaker tub under the smaller window. The old tub area is now a gorgeous, light filled tiled shower. This bathroom is a vision of a tranquil, pristine alpine lake and the crisp chrome fixtures with matte black accents finish off the look.
