We paid abundant attention to detail from design to completion of this beautiful contrasting bathroom.

The primary bathroom for this home project is tiled with beige honed limestone on the floor and within the shower. These warm tones evoke the palette and texture of a sand dune and are complimented by the rift white oak bathroom cabinetry, polished quartzite stone countertop, and backsplash. Hand-polished brass wall sconces with a lead crystal shade create soft lighting within the room. This view showcases the beige honed limestone that extends into a custom-built shower, to create an immersive warm environment. Satin gold hardware gleams to create vibrant highlights throughout the bathroom. A screen of beige honed limestone was added to the side of the bathroom cabinets, adding privacy and extra room for the placement of satin gold hand towel hardware. This view of the primary bathroom features a beige honed limestone finish that extends from the floor into the custom-built shower. These warm tones are complimented by the wood finish of the rift white oak bathroom cabinets which feature a polished quartzite stone countertop and backsplash. A turn in the vanity creates extra cabinet and counter space for storage. The variations presented for this home project demonstrate the myriad of ways in which natural materials such as wood and stone can be utilized within the home to create luxurious and practical surroundings. Bringing in the fresh, serene qualities of the surrounding oceanscape to create space that enhances day-to-day living.

This beautiful custom spa like bathroom features a glass surround shower with rain shower and private sauna, granite counter tops with floating vanity and travertine stone floors.

The driving impetus for this Tarrytown residence was centered around creating a green and sustainable home. The owner-Architect collaboration was unique for this project in that the client was also the builder with a keen desire to incorporate LEED-centric principles to the design process. The original home on the lot was deconstructed piece by piece, with 95% of the materials either reused or reclaimed. The home is designed around the existing trees with the challenge of expanding the views, yet creating privacy from the street. The plan pivots around a central open living core that opens to the more private south corner of the lot. The glazing is maximized but restrained to control heat gain. The residence incorporates numerous features like a 5,000-gallon rainwater collection system, shading features, energy-efficient systems, spray-foam insulation and a material palette that helped the project achieve a five-star rating with the Austin Energy Green Building program. After: We added some ambient lighting by back lighting the mirror and adding toekick lighting on a timer. By using a floating vanity it makes the space feel larger.

Suite à l’achat de leur appartement, mes clients souhaitaient rénover entièrement leur salle de bain datée et vétuste, afin de supprimer la baignoire et la remplacer par une douche à l’italienne. Afin de gagner un maximum d’espace dans cette petite pièce, nous avons en premier lieu créé une porte à galandage. Le dégagement créé dans le prolongement du mur nous a permis d’optimiser l’espace de douche en créant une niche pour les produits d’hygiène. Nous avons opté pour des pierres naturelles au mur, un beau travertin, ainsi que des galets plats sur le sol de la douche. Les chutes de ce poste ont permis de créer des étagères dans la douche, et le seuil de porte. Afin d’ajouter un maximum de lumière dans cette pièce aveugle, un carrelage imitation parquet gris clair a été posé au sol, des leds orientables ont été encastrées au plafond, et un grand miroir a été posé au-dessus du plan vasque. Concernant le mobilier, ici tout a été pensé en accord avec les valeurs responsables que nous avons partagé, les propriétaires ayant un goût particulier pour le mobilier chiné : - meuble chiné sur un site de revente entre particuliers - poignées de portes chinées - le miroir est un ancien miroir de psyché, trouvé en vide-grenier - la corbeille qui reçoit les produits est une ancienne corbeille de panier garni - le pot en grès appartenait aux grands-parents de la propriétaire et servait autrefois dans les campagnes à faire des terrines, aujourd’hui, elle reçoit (entre autre) les lingettes démaquillantes cousues main. - le pot tressé provient d’un magasin bio (ancien contenant -de sucre complet bio) - les éléments posés sur les étagères sont des cosmétiques bio ou fait maison dans des contenants récupérés

We only painted the master bathroom a light gray. For the most part, it was in pristine condition and complimented our scheme well. The oak flooring material we selected for the master bedroom nicely ties in the small cabochon tile used in the bathroom.
