The family purchased the 1950s ranch on Mullet Lake because their daughter dreamed of being married on its shores. The home would be used for the wedding venue and then as a wedding gift to the young couple. We were originally hired in August 2014 to help with a simple renovation of the home that was to be completed well in advance of the August 2015 wedding date. However, thorough investigation revealed significant issues with the original foundation, floor framing and other critical elements of the home’s structure that made that impossible. Based on this information, the family decided to tear down and build again. So now we were tasked with designing a new home that would embody their daughter’s vision of a storybook home – a vision inspired by another one of our projects that she had toured. To capture this aesthetic, traditional cottage materials such as stone and cedar shakes are accentuated by more materials such as reclaimed barn wood siding and corrugated CORTEN steel accent roofs. Inside, interior finishes include hand-hewn timber accents that frame openings and highlight features like the entrance reading nook. Natural materials shine against white walls and simply furnished rooms. While the house has nods to vintage style throughout, the open-plan kitchen and living area allows for both contemporary living and entertaining. We were able to capture their daughter’s vision and the home was completed on time for her big day.

A luxury residence in Vail, Colorado featuring wire-brushed Bavarian Oak wide-plank wood floors in a custom finish and reclaimed sunburnt siding on the ceiling.
Arrigoni Woods specializes in wide-plank wood flooring, both recycled and engineered. Our wood comes from old-growth Western European forests that are sustainably managed. Arrigoni's uniquely engineered wood (which has the look and feel of solid wood) features a trio of layered engineered planks, with a middle layer of transversely laid vertical grain spruce, providing a solid core.
This gorgeous mountain modern home was completed in the Fall of 2014. Using only the finest of materials and finishes, this home is the ultimate dream home.

Tarn Trail is a custom home for a couple who recently retired. The Owners had a limited construction budget & a fixed income, so the project had to be simple & efficient to build as well as be economical to maintain. However, the end result is delightfully livable and feels bigger and nicer than the budget would indicate (>$500K). The floor plan is very efficient and open with 1836 SF of livable space & a 568 SF 2-car garage. Tarn Trail features passive solar design, and has views of the Goose Pasture Tarn in Blue River CO. This project is a custom home that was built as a second home for an Arizona extended family, who wanted the quintessential mountain rustic home.
The home is sited to take advantage of spectacular mountain views, and was sited to protect as many of the large ponderosa pines on the site as possible.
The home is constructed with a custom timber frame structure throughout, including the two-story great room space, which features a large stone fireplace.
The home includes 3 levels, with a second floor master suite, a home theater and guest suites in the walk-out basement level.
