About five years ago, these homeowners saw the potential in a brick-and-oak-heavy, wallpaper-bedecked, 1990s-in-all-the-wrong-ways home tucked in a wooded patch among fields somewhere between Indianapolis and Bloomington. Their first project with SYH was a kitchen remodel, a total overhaul completed by JL Benton Contracting, that added color and function for this family of three (not counting the cats). A couple years later, they were knocking on our door again to strip the ensuite bedroom of its ruffled valences and red carpet—a bold choice that ran right into the bathroom (!)—and make it a serene retreat. Color and function proved the goals yet again, and JL Benton was back to make the design reality. The clients thoughtfully chose to maximize their budget in order to get a whole lot of bells and whistles—details that undeniably change their daily experience of the space. The fantastic zero-entry shower is composed of handmade tile from Heath Ceramics of California. A window where the was none, a handsome teak bench, thoughtful niches, and Kohler fixtures in vibrant brushed nickel finish complete the shower. Custom mirrors and cabinetry by Stoll’s Woodworking, in both the bathroom and closet, elevate the whole design. What you don't see: heated floors, which everybody needs in Indiana. expansive and oversized primary bathroom shower with double entry - large porcelain slabs adorn the back wall of the shower - niches placed on the sides for sleek storage - double shower heads along with hand held wand give you all you would need in a shower of this size.

This beautiful principle suite is like a beautiful retreat from the world. Created to exaggerate a sense of calm and beauty. The tiles look like wood to give a sense of warmth, with the added detail of brass finishes. the bespoke vanity unity made from marble is the height of glamour. The large scale mirrored cabinets, open the space and reflect the light from the original victorian windows, with a view onto the pink blossom outside.

A spa inspired primary bathroom in Charlotte with green cabinetry, white quartz countertop, matte black hardware, polished nickel plumbing, square black mirrors and porcelain wood-like floors.

The old linen closet was eliminated in order to extend the bathroom vanity. This couple is no longer on top of each other while getting ready each day.

Large and modern master bathroom primary bathroom. Grey and white marble paired with warm wood flooring and door. Expansive curbless shower and freestanding tub sit on raised platform with LED light strip. Modern glass pendants and small black side table add depth to the white grey and wood bathroom. Large skylights act as modern coffered ceiling flooding the room with natural light.

In this bathroom remodel, a Medallion Silverline Carlisle Vanity with matching York mirrors in the Smoke Stain was installed. The countertop and shower curb are Envi Carrara Luce quartz. Moen Voss Collection in brushed nickel includes faucet, robe hook, towel bars, towel ring, toilet paper holder. Kohler comfort height toilet. Two oval china lav bowls in white. Tara free standing white acrylic soaking tub with a Kayla floor mounted tub faucet in brushed nickel. 10x14 Resilience tile installed on the shower walls 1 ½” hex mosaic tile for shower floor Dynamic Beige. Triversa Prime Oak Grove luxury vinyl plank flooring in warm grey. Flat pebble stone underneath the free-standing tub.

This picture shows the custom glass shower enclosure (we had them replace one panel which is missing from the shot). You'll notice an extra large shower footprint, pebble shower pan tile, and a pairing of both traditional shower head and a shower head on a slider bar.

Light and Airy shiplap bathroom was the dream for this hard working couple. The goal was to totally re-create a space that was both beautiful, that made sense functionally and a place to remind the clients of their vacation time. A peaceful oasis. We knew we wanted to use tile that looks like shiplap. A cost effective way to create a timeless look. By cladding the entire tub shower wall it really looks more like real shiplap planked walls. The center point of the room is the new window and two new rustic beams. Centered in the beams is the rustic chandelier. Custom Built home designed to fit on an undesirable lot provided a great opportunity to think outside of the box with creating a large open concept living space with a kitchen, dining room, living room, and sitting area. This space has extra high ceilings with concrete radiant heat flooring and custom IKEA cabinetry throughout. The master suite sits tucked away on one side of the house while the other bedrooms are upstairs with a large flex space, great for a kids play area!

To give our client a clean and relaxing look, we used polished porcelain wood plank tiles on the walls laid vertically and metallic penny tiles on the floor. Using a floating marble shower bench opens the space and allows the client more freedom in range and adds to its elegance. The niche is accented with a metallic glass subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern.
