DANE AUSTIN INTERIOR DESIGN Boston & CambridgeThis design scheme blends femininity, sophistication, and the bling of Art Deco with earthy, natural accents. An amoeba-shaped rug breaks the linearity in the living room that’s furnished with a lady bug-red sleeper sofa with gold piping and another curvy sofa. These are juxtaposed with chairs that have a modern Danish flavor, and the side tables add an earthy touch. The dining area can be used as a work station as well and features an elliptical-shaped table with gold velvet upholstered chairs and bubble chandeliers. A velvet, aubergine headboard graces the bed in the master bedroom that’s painted in a subtle shade of silver. Abstract murals and vibrant photography complete the look. Carpentryworks IpswichA customer asked me to rearrange space under their stairs. Their low existing door was to be heightened and a new, bespoke door manufactured, an open space to be used for a pet area and a small door made to give access to a small area that was left. The masonary wall was removed and replaced with studwork and sheets of painted mdf. Each of the three areas had a perimeter of architrave.

Gail Green InteriorsTo the left of the Entry Hall sits an ante space to the Powder Room. This destination wall is accented by the a strong pure and bright orange color. Upon this wall sits a Merete Rasmussan sculpture above a custom designed table. To the left of the display is a built-in bench upon one can gaze outside to the beautiful landscape and water.
Duket Architects PlannersDesigned for a family with four younger children, it was important that the house feel comfortable, open, and that family activities be encouraged. The study is directly accessible and visible to the family room in order that these would not be isolated from one another.
Primary living areas and decks are oriented to the south, opening the spacious interior to views of the yard and wooded flood plain beyond. Southern exposure provides ample internal light, shaded by trees and deep overhangs; electronically controlled shades block low afternoon sun. Clerestory glazing offers light above the second floor hall serving the bedrooms and upper foyer. Stone and various woods are utilized throughout the exterior and interior providing continuity and a unified natural setting.
A swimming pool, second garage and courtyard are located to the east and out of the primary view, but with convenient access to the screened porch and kitchen.

They are passionate about fly-fishing, so when they found property with a designated trout stream, it was a natural fit. We developed a design that allows them to experience both views and sounds of the creek and a relaxed style for the cabin - a counterpoint to their full-time residence.

Bali ConstructionJackson Brewery Loft, San Francisco, CA
The Jackson Brewery building was built in the early 1900’s. We have taken an open space consisting of 2500 square feet of brick walls and exposed steel beams with 20’ high ceilings and turned it into a contemporary, home automated loft. To access this loft we designed a custom clear elevator door, which reveals the elevator shaft while adding natural light. We wanted to keep the charm and historical characteristics of this building while integrating a highly modern feel.
This “High-Tech Bachelor Pad” was featured in CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles winter 2010 issue. Electronics such as heated floors, automatic window treatments, a state of the art multi-zone sound system, LED lighting systems, with pre-programmed lighting scenes for every mood, and push of the button shower control valves are just to name a few of the high-tech features that contributed to this lofts win for the 17th Annual Electronic Lifestyles Designer Award.
This project was design build; working on ideas and concepts with the owner and interior designer without the organization of plans.
