This stunning living room showcases large windows with a lake view, cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams, and a gas double-sided fireplace with a custom blend of Augusta and Quincy natural ledgestone thin veneer. Quincy stones bring a variety of grays, blues, and tan tones to your stone project. The lighter colors help contrast the darker tones of this stone and create depth in any size project. The golden veins add some highlights the will brighten your project. The stones are rectangular with squared edges that are great for creating a staggered brick look. Most electronics and appliances blend well with this stone. The rustic look of antiques and various artwork are enhanced with Quincy stones in the background.

The centerpiece of this living room is the 2 sided fireplace, shared with the Sunroom. The coffered ceilings help define the space within the Great Room concept and the neutral furniture with pops of color help give the area texture and character. The stone on the fireplace is called Blue Mountain and was over-grouted in white. The concealed fireplace rises from inside the floor to fill in the space on the left of the fireplace while in use.

With a neutral color palette in mind, Interior Designer, Rebecca Robeson brought in warmth and vibrancy to this Solana Beach Family Room rich blue and dark wood-toned accents. The custom made navy blue sofa takes center stage, flanked by a pair of dark wood stained cabinets fashioned with white accessories. Two white occasional chairs to the right and one stylish bentwood chair to the left, the four ottoman coffee table adds all the comfort the clients were hoping for. Finishing touches... A commissioned oil painting, white accessory pieces, decorative throw pillows and a hand knotted area rug specially made for this home. Of course, Rebecca signature window treatments complete the space. Located overlooking the ski resorts of Big Sky, Montana, this MossCreek custom designed mountain home responded to a challenging site, and the desire to showcase a stunning timber frame element. Utilizing the topography to its fullest extent, the designers of MossCreek provided their clients with beautiful views of the slopes, unique living spaces, and even a secluded grotto complete with indoor pool. An open house lot is like a blank canvas. When Mathew first visited the wooded lot where this home would ultimately be built, the landscape spoke to him clearly. Standing with the homeowner, it took Mathew only twenty minutes to produce an initial color sketch that captured his vision - a long, circular driveway and a home with many gables set at a picturesque angle that complemented the contours of the lot perfectly. The interior was designed using a modern mix of architectural styles – a dash of craftsman combined with some colonial elements – to create a sophisticated yet truly comfortable home that would never look or feel ostentatious. Features include a bright, open study off the entry. This office space is flanked on two sides by walls of expansive windows and provides a view out to the driveway and the woods beyond. There is also a contemporary, two-story great room with a see-through fireplace. This space is the heart of the home and provides a gracious transition, through two sets of double French doors, to a four-season porch located in the landscape of the rear yard. This remodel of a mid century gem is located in the town of Lincoln, MA a hot bed of modernist homes inspired by Gropius’ own house built nearby in the 1940’s. By the time the house was built, modernism had evolved from the Gropius era, to incorporate the rural vibe of Lincoln with spectacular exposed wooden beams and deep overhangs. The design rejects the traditional New England house with its enclosing wall and inward posture. This warm, elegant, and inviting great room is complete with rich patterns, textures, fabrics, wallpaper, stone, and a large custom multi-light chandelier that is suspended above. The two way fireplace is covered in stone and the walls on either side are covered in a knot fabric wallpaper that adds a subtle and sophisticated texture to the space. A mixture of cool and warm tones makes this space unique and interesting. The space is anchored with a sectional that has an abstract pattern around the back and sides, two swivel chairs and large rectangular coffee table. The large sliders collapse back to the wall connecting the interior and exterior living spaces to create a true indoor/outdoor living experience. The cedar wood ceiling adds additional warmth to the home.
