We recommended to the builders to turn this other wasted space off kitchen into a homework space by just adding a counter top. This is counter, table top, is made out of MDF and it is painted. A home work area close to family and kitchen spaces is a good thing. I have a similar set up for my own home. I loved being close to my own kids, while I was in the kitchen and watching them, while they were doing their home work. Gordon Wang Photography
