For this whole house remodel, we wanted to create a cohesive design with a modern and rustic style. This meant updating every finish, reconfiguring rooms, and adding custom touches in just about every corner. Our concept for the color scheme of the project was focused on the homeowner’s favorite “warm sweater” colors. We wanted taupe and warm neutrals to contrast bold accents and let the landscape be the accent. Leaning into a contemporary transitional style, we composed a unique look. Engineered hardwood floors, new light fixtures, new paint colors, and custom cabinetry extend through the home. In the kitchen, we installed a new corner window, a full-height tile backsplash, and custom corner breakfast nook. Moving into the family room, we added a new custom built-in tv cabinet and whitewashed the brick behind the fireplace. Down the hallway, we installed a modern bronze and glass door to create a vestibule style entry to the owner’s suite. This was a creative way to break up the long hallway. Off the hallway, we designed an elevated powder room that is a moody gem. It features a striking wall-hung limestone sink with brushed gold exposed plumbing and fixtures. A Turkish “Silver Shadow” marble wraps the room in a wainscoting detail to add interest. Statement oil rubbed bronze light fixtures with glass details make the room glow. A warm mauve yet neutral paint color washes the walls and ceiling. With the goal of creating a home that welcomes guests, we crafted a guest suite with its own private bathroom by taking space from an existing bedroom. The guest bathroom features a curbless shower, custom white oak vanity, and a large closet with a custom closet solution. Brushed gold hardware and creamy beige zellige tile create a warm and inviting atmosphere. For the primary suite, we remodeled and reconfigured the entire bathroom and bedroom so that from first entry into the suite, you have a beautiful view. Accentuating the tall, vaulted ceilings, we added wall washer sconces, a chandelier hanging from the beam, and a nook for a beautiful antique armoire to recess in to. A custom vanity with a touch screen lighted mirror is the perfect place to get ready for the day. A luxurious walk-in closet now sits off the primary bedroom. Custom cabinetry takes advantage of every square inch of space, with adjustable shelves and the perfect balance of open to closed areas. We designed shelving specifically for handbags with a bifold door and drawers sized perfectly for jewelry. In the primary bathroom long, pendant lights hang from the vaulted ceiling and extra tall custom mirrors accentuate the height of the room. A black quartz countertop with warm veining and dark mahogany cabinetry makes a bold statement against the neutral backdrop of the other finishes. The curbless walk-in shower features a linear drain, custom glass enclosure, and a floating corner bench seat.

A 6,000 square foot 2-story new home complex in Milpitas was designed to facilitate the owners’ large business parties and gatherings, to have rooms for the kids to come back to upstairs, and a ground floor master suite with a huge walk-in closet. Several separate structures make up the dwelling: The main house, 3-car garage with carport for overflow parking, and a separate entertainment and recreation building separated by a courtyard from the main house. The business activities include gatherings in the hundreds of people, so parking was maximized and guests can flow in through a separate gate to party in the courtyard and recreation building. Inside this structure is a wet bar, billiard room, workout gym and home theater. The main house ground floor has formal and informal living rooms, open kitchen and master suite with views and expansive windows in every direction. The house is sited on the crestline of a hill with views of the San Francisco Bay and private golf course below. The indoor-outdoor aspect of the house is further accentuated with outside living and dining areas. High ceilings and expansive glass walls dissolve the sense of enclosure taking advantage of the site’s openness and privacy. The owner’s suite is downstairs in anticipation of aging-in-place, and upstairs there are three bedrooms and four bathrooms plus a sitting area lounge and casual TV loft area. The house sits on one acre at the top of a low hill range overlooking Milpitas. The city was very cognizant of the importance of keeping a low profile at this crestline and required extensive story poles and photo evidence of the proper height and siting so as not to be seen from certain selected vantage points. This luxury dressing room has a safari theme. Featuring polytec notaio walnut and laminex brushed bronze. Previously the room had two entrances, by deleting one of the entrances, we were able to create a cul-de-sac style space at one end for a beautiful floating dressing table on front of the "halo effect" of the backlit feature mirror. To maximise space and organisation all clothing was measured and shoes counted. Angling the shoe shelves made enough space for the seat to fit in front of the shoes without needing to project beyond the main cabinetry. Shoe drawers stack casual shoes vertically for convenience of viewing and selecting. A custom scarf rack ensures scarves are very visible and stored in a non slip solution, making great use of the narrow space outside the ensuite.

This boutique inspired closet has a double sided island with a waterfall edge, built-in dresser, handbag display cases and a shoe wall! LED lighting is featured behind all the glass inset doors and upper cabinet doors are inset with antique mirrored glass. A crystal chandelier is a showstopper!

What woman doesn't need a space of their own?!? With this gorgeous dressing room my client is able to relax and enjoy the process of getting ready for her day. We kept the hanging open and easily accessible while still giving a boutique feel to the space. We paint matched the existing room crown to give this unit a truly built in look.
