Thanks Sara for your kind comments.This was a great project because of the challenging floor plan - it was three differently scaled spaces. The key was an island that 'talked' to each one and by using different materials, shapes and artisans we were able to bring together something modern, comfortable and eye catching. The island was rhomboid shaped in order to capture the maximum footprint at a pivotal circulation point.
